Daily flights to Edinburgh from Oxford Airport are to start on Monday, March 1, with a new operator called Varsity Express. Jets will leave Oxford Monday to Friday at 8am, arriving in Edinburgh at 9.30am. Return flights leave Edinburgh at 5pm. The launch rate is £49 one-way, including taxes.
Varsity is “backed by a private consortium of investors in the UK and Spain whose interests centre on property development and the entertainment industry”. A spokesman said they were not members of any travel trade bonded protection scheme such as IATA.
