Security systems specialist Westminster has won four-year deal with the Ministry of Justice to supply and maintain security equipment for UK prisons.
The equipment will be used at key entry and exit points in the 139 UK jails as well as in high security areas.
The contract, agreed for an undisclosed sum, will last until November 2013.
Chief executive Peter Fowler said: “I am particularly pleased we have been awarded this contract. It is both prestigious and long-term giving Westminster a further valuable endorsement within the security industry.”
Banbury-based Westminster employs 25 staff and specialises in equipment such as bomb jamming, explosive protection and integrated banking.
