ESTATE agency Carter Jonas, which has an office in Summertown, has merged with historic property firm Dreweatt Neate.
Mark Charter, head of the Summertown office, said: “With additional offices, resources and expertise across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire, our existing clients will be able to source far more from us.
“It gives us the southern network we never had.”
The merger, effective from May 1, will result in a new property consultancy with a combined turnover of £30m, 75 partners and more than 400 staff working from 31 offices.
A total of 35 staff work in Summertown.
The business will be known as Carter Jonas, with all the Dreweatt Neate offices, including those in Newbury and Swindon, being rebranded.
Dreweatt Neate can trace its origins back to 1759 when the company started trading as Alexander Davis in Newbury.
