Hi-tech firm Oxonica has confirmed it is to appeal against a ruling that it must pay royalties to a rival company set up by an ex-employee.
In September, the High Court ruled that royalties are payable on Envirox, a fuel-saving additive used in Stagecoach buses, to rival company Neuftec.
But after being granted the right to appeal, Oxonica, an Oxford University spin-off company, based at the Begbroke Science Park, will pay £400,000 into an account in joint names with Neuftec, while the outcome, expected in the next nine months, is decided.
