Organisers of a new business group in Bicester have launched a search to find a champion for the town.
The organisation, Bicester Vision, which is backed by major businesses and local government, wants to appoint a full-time partnership manage as its public face.
The key task of the new recruit will be to prepare and deliver strategies that will support the growing economy and community of Bicester.
Bicester Vision chairman Bob Langton said: "We are on the verge of huge change in Bicester and now we have all three tiers of local government and the business sector focused on common goals for the good of the town."
As well as a new £70m town centre development which has been given planning consent, a major business park and hotel have also been given the go-ahead along with 1800 homes to be built to the south west of the town.
The organisation is jointly funded by Bicester Town Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Cherwell District Council, Bicester Village, Stockdale, Chiltern Railways and Bicester Chamber of Commerce.
Several other sponsors are also said to be preparing to commit to assisting with funding for the project.
