TEENAGER Hollie Higa took part in a top-level European conference after winning a business competition for young people.
Hollie, 16, a pupil at the Cherwell School, in Oxford, travelled to Brussels to sit on a panel of experts to review and assess enterprise projects from across Europe.
She is pictured, with, from left, teacher Harkit Sandhu and fellow pupil Joe Kempton, 17, who was a runner-up in the competition.
She said: "It was a very exciting opportunity for a person of my age to be a part of something this big. It was a wonderful experience and I'm sure it will help with my business A-Level, as well as applying to university."
Hollie attended the conference with Mr Sandhu after being voted the outstanding pupil in the Enterprise Journey project, which aims to increase awareness of enterprise and entrepreneurship among teachers and students. The programme was developed by Oxfordshire Education Business Partnership, Business Link, Oxford Brookes University Enterprise Centre and the University of Portsmouth Centre for Enterprise.
The move follows Hollie's success in the Young Enterprise competition, where she was part of a Cherwell team that won the marketing award this year.
Joe will be involved in the Enterprise Journey Conference with Hollie at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel, in Sandford, on Wednesday, November 14.
