More than 50 business in Oxfordshire have applied for grants of up to £2,500 after being hit by flooding.
A total of 56 firms have contacted Business Link which is working with the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) to distribute the cash.
Spokesman Jo Love said about 25 per cent of the applications had come from the Oxford area, particularly firms in Botley and Osney with most of the others originating from west Oxfordshire.
The grants are being made available to help small businesses recover from the damage caused and to protect them against future flooding.
Business Link staff will again be contacting firms in the affected areas next week to inform them that they may be eligible.
To apply, companies need to contact Business Link on 0845 600 9006.
Business Link's Elaine Whittaker said: "The grant is still very much available to any business that was affected by the terrible floods.
Hopefully the businesses that have already been in touch will benefit from the support available and we hope many others will also."
