BOSSES and staff at a medical instrument manufacturer were celebrating last night after being named the Oxfordshire Business of the Year.
The team at Owen Mumford, which has its head office in Woodstock and a factory in Chipping Norton, also won the Export award at the event, attended by 500 guests at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel, in Sandford.
The Oxfordshire Business Person of the year title went to Karl Durham, managing director of Banbury supply chain management specialist International Applications.
The Employer of the Year was torque wrench manufacturer Norbar, also of Banbury, while the Charity and Community category was claimed by Oxford’s Helen & Douglas House hospice.
Awards chairman Paul Lowe said: “This was another hugely successful event and a fantastic showcase for Oxfordshire businesses and entrepreneurs.
“Our winners should be truly proud of their achievements and their contribution to the growth of the county’s economy in difficult times.”
