Notice for Former Owners in accordance with the Crichel Down Rules

Land at the above location has been declared surplus to Ministry of Defence (MOD) requirements and the Government has decided it should be sold. Under certain circumstances, The Crichel Down Rules require Government departments to offer back surplus land to the former owner or their successors in title at current market value, unless an exception applies.

In this instance the land is not to be offered back because an exception applies. The exception, as contained in Rule 15(2), is that it has been decided on specific Ministerial authority, for reasons of public interest, that the land should be transferred to The Homes and Communities Agency.

Notwithstanding that an exception applies, theMOD isrequired to notifyformerowners (or their successors), of this decision. The purpose of this advertisement is to inform those former owners for whom the MOD does not have contact details. The plan showing the land covered by the exception can be found on Billfinger GVA's website [www.gva.co.uk/9870] or can be inspected at Chalgrove Village Store, 107 High St, Chalgrove, OX44 7SS
