The church of Saint Peter, being a chapel of ease in the parish of Kingham and Daylesford in the diocese of Oxford
The Church Commissioners have prepared a draft Pastoral Church Buildings Scheme providing for the church of Saint Peter, being a chapel of ease in the parish of Kingham and Daylesford in the diocese of Oxford to be declared closed for regular public worship and appropriated to use as be appropriated to use as a monument, and for cultural and community purposes and for occasional acts of Christian worship in accordance with the rites and traditions of the Church of England and/or the Roman Catholic Church.
You may obtain a copy of the draft Scheme from the Church Commissioners' office in Church House, Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3AZ, see it on our website at www.ccpastoral.org/consultation or inspect it at the parish church(es) (or licensed place(s) of worship / chapel(s) of ease, as appropriate) of the above mentioned parish(es).
A drop-in session will take place on 11 May 2015 at the church between 4pm and 7pm at which a member of the Commissioners' staff and the team vicar for the benefice of will be available to explain the impact of the proposed future use of the building and discuss any issues or concerns which those attending may raise.
Anyone may make representations either for or against all or any part of the draft Scheme in writing to James Davidson-Brett, Pastoral Division, Church Commissioners, Church House, Great Smith Street, London, SW1P 3AZ or by email to james.davidson-brett@churchofengland.org in order to reach him not later than midnight on 15 June 2015. Copies of all of the representations received and associated correspondence will be published on our website if the matter needs to be considered by the Commissioners.
