ELOISE Hind set a new Oxford City AC record as she took gold at the Under 17 Heptathlon National Championships.
The teenager racked up a huge 5,245 points to beat Jade O’Dowda’s score, set in 2016.
It put Hind third in the UK all-time list, as she recorded personal bests in the javelin and 800 metres to finish 326 points ahead of long-time rival Lucy Fellows.
There was more to cheer as Iona Irvine finished fourth in her first completed heptathlon, missing out on a medal by just 28 points.
She achieved personal bests in the long jump, javelin, 200m and 800m to score 4,690.
The results put Hind and Irvine first and fifth respectively in the UK rankings for 2021.
