OXFORD City Stars regular Jake Williams has re-signed ahead of the new season.
The 20-year-old forward has racked up 50 games in two campaigns at Oxpens.
Williams is the latest member of the 2021/22 squad to commit to Stars as they look to put right last season’s eighth-place finish in NIHL Division 1 South.
He said: “I’m excited to get started back up with the new team after a frustrating last season.
“I feel like we all have a lot more to give this year and have a point to prove.”
Head coach Simon Anderson added: “Jake signing will give us extra depth down the middle of the ice, which is something the team struggled with last season.
“He is a solid two-way centreman, with a good hockey IQ.
Jake is good in the face-off circle and has a lot of defensive upside in his game.
"This season I'm looking forward to seeing Jake drive a line and get involved more offensively and I'm sure he will be up to the challenge.
“Jake will certainly provide competition in our forward group as we go with a bigger roster to enable us to keep every player hungry and this will help drive our club forward.”
