ELOISE Hind will represent Great Britain at the prestigious Mannheim International next month.
The Oxford City AC youngster has been selected alongside some of the best young athletes in the country for the event in Germany on the weekend of July 2 and 3.
Hind is one of three heptathletes chosen for the British team, joining Abigail Pawlett and Ella Rush.
All three have achieved the standard required to compete at the World Under 20 Championships in Cali, Colombia, this August, so they will need to be on their game in the southwest German city.
Team leader, Laura Turner-Alleyne, said: “The Mannheim gala always provides an exciting competitive opportunity for our junior athletes.
“We are delighted to support this team with their continued development along the British Athletics pathway, on their journey towards success on the senior international stage.”
The Mannheim International is one of the highest-level junior competitions outside of the World or European Championships.
Hind represented Great Britain Under 20s for the first time at last month’s Loughborough International.
She achieved 1.70metres in the high jump in difficult conditions.
The following week, she recorded a personal best in the heptathlon at the England Athletics Senior & Under 20 Combined Events Championships in Bedford, racking up 5,448 points to finish second.
The Under 20 World Championships runs over the course of the opening week of August.
Meanwhile, David Kuester was thrilled with his five-medal haul at the British Masters.
The Bicester AC member claimed four silvers and a bronze in the 51st edition of the track and field championships at the Moorways Stadium, in Derby.
Kuester more than played his part at an event where the oldest male and female competitors were well into their 80s, while several British, European and World records fell over the course of the weekend.
The veteran threw 29.13m in the hammer, 23.91m in the discus, 10.74 in the weight (heavy hammer) and 8.44m in the shot put as he claimed silver in all four events.
Kuester added a bronze medal in the javelin, achieving 23.16m to grab a place on the podium.
