A jackknifed lorry in Oxfordshire shut lanes on a major motorway resulting in queues of traffic spanning miles.
The incident occurred after 10am on Wednesday, May 15, as the lorry was travelling on the M40 southbound carriageway between Junction 9 and 8a.
This resulted in two of the motorway’s lanes being closed by Thames Valley Police as the emergency services raced to the site.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that there had been no injuries in the crash but that it would be some time before the road returned to normal.
