A by-election will be taking place in part of Oxfordshire after a county councillor has resigned.
Councillor Richard Webber, who represented the Sutton Courtenay and Marcham wards on Oxfordshire County Council, has stepped down.
He has resigned due to health reasons.
A notice of vacancy has been posted online on the council's website and at County Hall, following receipt of the requisite notice for election.
This requisite notice came from two 'local government electors.'
The notice of election will be published today, Wednesday, May 15 by council chief executive Martin Reeves, acting as returning officer, with the by-election set to be held on Thursday, June 20.
The successful candidate in the by-election will hold the position for the remainder of the term, until the next local government elections.
