Fire crews were called to an incident, which involved a telegraph pole catching fire overnight in a village north-west of Oxford.
The electrical fire occurred in Yarnton on Cassington Road, a main road in Yarnton, and was brought under control by fire engine crews from Kidlington and Oxford.
Yarnton is about six miles outside the city of Oxford.

A spokesperson said Oxfordshire County Council's Fire and Rescue Service was called at 11.54pm on Monday, May 13.
On arrival the crews used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the fire before handing the incident over to the electricity board.
The spokesperson said crews left the scene around 1.30am.
The cause remains unknown at the time of writing.
