A music star of the 80s is set to bring his band for a performance in Oxford.
Nik Kershaw will be gracing the stage of the O2 Academy on Friday, June 28.
Known for chart-toppers like 'Wouldn't It Be Good', 'The Riddle', and 'I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me', Kershaw is holding a few shows during June and July as part of his group's festival warm-up.
The group has said there will be an absence of "dance moves, lasers, pyrotechnics, jazz hands or anything remotely to do with "showbusiness"", so fans can expect a straight-to-the-point concert with emphasis on the music.
"Just expect a great band, playing great songs, up close and in your face", organisers have told potential attendees.
Elton John once labelled Kershaw as the "best songwriter of his generation", with the concert presenting a rare opportunity for fans to get to see him perform up close.
Tickets are priced at £32.50 with any additional charges, available to be purchased online from The Gig Cartel (https://www.thegigcartel.com/Artists-profiles/Nik-Kershaw.htm).
