It was heard that between August 26 and September 14 last year, he messaged a girl under the age of 16 on Facebook and the messages were reportedly of a sexual nature.
Gaul, of Green Road, Didcot, appeared in the lower court in April. He was asked to return this week for his plea hearing where he admitted the offence.
He will now be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on June 6 at 10am. Gaul could face a prison sentence or a fine.
