A FORMER Oxfordshire university student has been cleared of an attempted rape charge.
Lee Lewis, 26, was on trial at Oxford Crown Court charged with attempted rape, assault by penetration, and sexual assault.
He was arrested at the annual This is Oxford Festival, which takes place at the playing fields of Oxford Brookes University’s Wheatley Campus, on May 18, 2019.

Mr Lewis was accused of attacking a fellow student several hours after putting his details into her Snapchat. He denied the offences, stating he had tried to help her after she had been attacked by two other men.
However, on Tuesday (May 7), a jury found Mr Lewis not guilty of all three counts.
