The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

DAMIAN CLARKE, 44, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating on April 19 this year in Milton Keynes. He was fined £100. There were no other orders for costs.

KYRAN MCCARTHY, 21, of Balmoral Avenue, Banbury, pleaded guilty to driving without third-party insurance in Banbury on August 23 last year as well as driving without a licence. He was fined £69 and had six penalty points added to his driving record. There were court costs of £85.

JORDAN MCDONAGH, 27, of Parsons Place, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a Class A drug in Oxford on March 21 this year – namely heroin and cocaine – and one count of possession of a Class B drug – namely cannabis. He also pleaded guilty to one count of burglary with intent to steal on November 27 last year after trespassing into Flo’s Café in Rymers Lane, Oxford, one count of failing to comply with the sex offenders notification requirement on September 11 last year and one count of failing to surrender to court/police bail on April 19 this year. He was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to complete nine months of drug rehabilitation activity. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There was also £550 in compensation ordered but no other orders for costs.

OLIVER TRICKETT, 19, of Dumas Close, Bicester, pleaded guilty to possession of a lock knife in Bicester on April 20 this year. He was given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to complete 40 hours of unpaid work and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the knife. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.

ASHLEY EADLE, 35, of Wellington Street, Thame, pleaded guilty to five different counts. He admitted to one count of common assault in Queen Street, Oxford on September 13 last year, two counts of obstructing/resisting a constable on the same day, theft from a shop on the same day after stealing clothes and a speaker to the value of £715 from John Lewis in Queen Street, Oxford, and going equipped for theft by carrying pliers on the same day. They were given a community order to complete nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and 20 rehabilitation activity days. There was also £100 in compensation ordered and court costs of £310.
