A man has been found dead in a park in an Oxford neighbourhood early this morning.
Police officers rushed to Orchard Way in the Littlemore area of Oxford.
Thames Valley Police confirmed a man in his 60s had died and that it is being treated as unexplained at this stage.
A statement from the force said: "Police were called to a park in Orchard Way, Oxford, at around 5.32am this morning (May 3).
"Sadly, a man in his 60s, was declared deceased at the scene.
"His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
"At this time his death is being treated as unexplained, and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
No further details were released by police about the incident.
The Oxford Mail has contacted Thames Valley Police for more information on the body being found and whether there were any road closures in place.
A witness who wished to remain anonymous said they had seen police on scene in the area including people who appeared to be forensics officers.
Orchard Way is close to the Barns Road Playground and BMX Track park.
It comes two days after police announced the body of Iona, whose surname has not been disclosed, had been found in the River Windrush after she went missing in Witney on Monday, February 12.
