Oxford City Council have opened a consultation on the redesignation of Wolvercote Neighbourhood Forum and Summertown & St Margaret Neighbourhood Forum.
These forums offer residents a chance to have a say on the development of their area through neighbourhood planning.
Under current regulations, neighbourhood forums have to seek to re apply for designation every five years.
This consultation relates solely to the forum areas' designation, not their neighbourhood plans, both of which remain unaltered from their previous grant.
The Town and Country Planning Act 1990 mandates this procedure.
Locals can air their views on the council's website until Monday, June 3, when the consultation closes at 11.59pm.
