Bottled water banks have been set up in car parks after parts of Oxford have been left with no running taps with works potentially carrying on "overnight".
Thames Water said that "problems" after planned work left a pipe needing repairing and are now "working to restore water supply throughout today and overnight."
People living in OX3, OX4 and OX44 have seen their water pressure become so low causing them to have no running water at all.

Two bottled water banks have been set up nearby in the car parks of Oxford Thornhill Park & Ride and in Headington on London Road.
The Headington water bank was forced closed for a number of hours with Thames Water announcing at around 12.30pm it would be closed until 2pm.
Councillor for Quarry and Risinghurst, Roz Smith said: "Water pressure has been low in the Headington area since early this morning, with some homes without water entirely.
"I am concerned for those without water in sheltered accommodation, like Douglas Veale House, as they need water to take medicines."
A statement from Thames Water said: "We’ve had some problems after planned work to repair one of our pipes – we’re working to restore water supply throughout today and overnight.
"For customers without water, we’ve opened two bottled water station.
"Oxford Thornhill Park & Ride OX3 8DP, for everyone's safety this is for customers with cars only and Headington Car Park, London Road, OX3 9HP.
Another statement added: "We know how inconvenient it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can."
The Oxford Mail has approached Thames Water for more information on when water will be restored and the cause behind the issue in the water supply.
