A car retailer will be giving back to charity donors next week as part of a fundraising drive for a children's hospital.
Car buying service webuyanycar is teaming up with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, offering cookies and pin badges to anyone who donates in their branches.
The initiative is taking place across 100 branches across the country, including in Aylesbury and Didcot.
These tokens of appreciation will be available from April 22 to April 28, or until stocks run out.
A number of employees will be joining the efforts with sponsored bike rides from 9am to 5pm outside their branches.
The money will support the charity's Build It Beat It campaign which is dedicated to raising funds to build a new world-leading children’s cancer centre at the hospital.
Cancer is the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK and the rapidly changing pace of cancer medicine has outstripped existing cancer facilities at the hospital.
The car retailer will also be matching £10,000 worth of donations made directly to the charity this month.
Hayley Thompson, head of retail engagement, said: "This is the third year we’ve worked with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and so far the team has raised over £21,000.
"We’re aiming to double that total this month alone and for such an important cause, while also having fun with our colleagues across the business and getting our customers involved too."
