An Oxford band has had their music selected for the new series of a BBC television drama.
Moonrakers' songwriter, Jon Bennett, said that the inclusion of their work in 'Beyond Paradise' "came about almost by chance".
The editor of independent production company, Red Planet, who is also a Moonrakers fan, included a few samples of the band's music in the 'rough cut' of the new series.
After the director expressed approval, the band's song, "Grimsby Fisher Lads", featured on their latest album, "Green to Gold", was included in the soundtrack.
Mr Bennett added: "As a folk band, you don’t often get a break like this, and we’re thrilled to be joining other well-known artists such as Bellowhead, Kate Rusby and Johnny Flynn.
"One of the great advantages for us is that the series is franchised across the world, so we hope to reach a much wider audience than we would usually expect.”
Currently, Moonrakers are touring the region, with performances in High Wycombe and Bodicote in April and Nuffield and Sutton Courtenay in May.
The band, which is comprised of a Celtic harp, cello, stringed instruments, whistles, and male and female vocals, has been celebrated for drawing new audiences to folk music with their tunes originating from English, Irish and Scottish tradition.
