A local hi-fi retailer has announced the launch of a new vinyl listening station.
Summertown’s Sevenoaks Sound and Vision is inviting music fans to experience its new state-of-the-art listening station located at the front of the store.
The station is open to anyone wishing to listen to vintage classics or modern favourites on premium audio equipment.
Store manager Geraint Evans said: "At Sevenoaks, we believe in the power of music to bring people and communities together.
"With our new vinyl listening station, we hope to provide a space where Oxford’s diverse musical heritage and contemporary culture can be celebrated."
He added: "Additionally, in our experience, there are lots of people throughout Oxfordshire who own vinyl but no longer have a turntable.
"This is a great opportunity for those people to come and listen to their records."
At the heart of the vinyl listening station is the Pro-Ject Classic Evo turntable, NAD C3050 amplifier, and Focal Vestia No. 2 loudspeakers, promising a superb audio experience.
Residents are encouraged to bring any vinyl, old or new, that is in good condition and appropriate for public listening, and a few tracks can be played.
As vinyl records experience a resurgence in popularity, Sevenoaks aims to cater to both audiophiles and those who simply enjoy good music.
Sevenoaks Sound and Vision shop can be contacted at oxford@ssav.com or on 01865 241773 for further information.
Individuals are invited to come and celebrate Oxford’s rich musical heritage through this unique system.
