Headington School BC and Hinksey Sculling School finished a creditable second and third respectively at the South of England Indoor Rowing Championships.
Using four banks of Concept 2 indoor rowing machines, the event, which was held at the Wheatley Park Sports Centre, attracted 492 rowers from across the region.
Headington finished just nine points behind winners, Bishopsgate School (London), who claimed the Victor Ludorum Trophy on their debut appearance.
Dragon School (Oxford) finishing in fifth place, while St Edward’s School were tenth.
