WOMEN'S FOOTBALL
OXFORD United retained the Oxfordshire Cup after defeating Launton Ladies 5-0 in the final at Witney Town.
Lauren Alison put United 1-0 ahead at half-time, with goals from Tash Caswell, Sahara Osborne-Ricketts, Ellie Roberts and Holly Pickett sealing the spoils.
Manager Leon Blackmore-Smith said: “It was a great performance and it’s a real achievement to win the cup.
“It’s a reward for all the hard work that’s gone into the season.”
- LISA Freeman bagged her 20th goal of the season as unbeaten Tower Hill stayed top of Division 1 in the Thames Valley League with a 3-0 victory at Headington.
Deb Richards and Charley Hamilton also netted.
