Horspath Hammers have a big weekend in store as they compete in the European Club Championships at Bury today, tomorrow and Monday.
Hammers, along with seven other English teams, will be looking to break the Polish domination of this event.
The Poles have won the last three championships, with Horspath’s best performance being fourth in the final in Amsterdam 2003.
Horspath, the British Team, Premier League and Indoor Champions, have a strong line-up, headed by skipper Mark Boaler, with Steve Harris, Lewis Osborne. Mark Carmichael and Mike Morgans also involved.
Hammers’ Polish riders will be racing for their home clubs – Matty Szymczak and Marcin Skowronek for Leszno, whilst Rafal Dulinski and Premek Binkowski defend the title for Torun.
- HORSPATH lost 92-84 in Division 1 of the South & South Wales League last week – never looking like winning.
