Oxfordshire suffered their biggest defeat in more than two seasons when they went down 12-5 to Inter- Counties Youth League champions Essex .
The under 18, without some key players due to work commitments, were pipped 5-4, their wins coming from Samuel Lewis, Mark Burns, Simon Allmond and man-of-the-match Tom Baughan (22.77 average).
The under 21 ladies, having already won their section, fielded two reserves for their county debuts and lost 3-0 – their first defeat of the season.
The under 21 men were beaten 4-1, Daniel Ford winning with a 19.08 average.
l The Greene King ODDA Summer League starts on Tuesday/Wednesday, May 26-27 comprising ten men’s and nine ladies’ sections.
Any teams wishing to enter the men’s league should contact Jim Baxendale on 01865 430054. There are no vacancies in the ladies’ leagues.
Fixture lists should be collected from Three Horseshoes, Old Marston, from 7am on Monday, May 18.
