Oxfordshire Youth returned from Essex in the Inter-Counties Youth League with a 9-8 win against the British youth team champions.
And the victory was even more remarkable as Oxfordshire fielded a below-strength team due to work commitments and illness.
The under 18s won 6-3, with victories from Tom Meadows on his debut (14.09 average), Sam Lewis also on his debut (18.13), Mark Burns (20.70), Ashley Coggings (17.89), Reece Hancox (20.75), plus man-of-the-match, Tom Baughan (21.78).
The unbeaten under 21 ladies stayed top with a 2-1 success, with wins from Natasha Meadows and lady-of-the-match Katie Moore.
The under 21 men came up against a very strong under 21 Essex side and after some tight games they went down 4-1. Man-of-the-match Shane Turner was their only winner.
