Changes have been made by Oxfordshire as they bid for their first win in the British Darts Organisation Inter-Counties Championship Premier Division when they take on Hampshire at East Challow British Legion this weekend.
Oxon, who were runners-up in the 2008 Oxfordshire Sports Awards, have drawn two and lost one of their first three games, and stand seventh in the table – one place below Hampshire.
In a bid to notch their first victory, Oxon have promoted Keith Bedding and Les Radford and one other player still to be decided to the men’s A team. They come in for Graham Manning, Phil Addison and John Fowler. Babs Manning returns to the ladies’ A side, with Louise Carroll dropping down to the B team. Paul Cross is named as a reserve after a good run in the Oxfordshire Super League. The games start at midday on Saturday and Sunday.

Oxon Youth went down to their first defeat of the season with a 10-7 loss against Kent side in the BDO Inter-Coun-ties Youth League. In the under 18 clash, Oxon went down 7-2. Ogan Lockyer, with an 18.90 average, and Tom Baughan (20.45) were Oxon’s winners. Oxon Under 21 ladies kept up their unbeaten run to stay top of the table in their section with a 3-0 win. Their wins came from Ashley Curtis, Katie Moore and lady of the match Nicola Slay (17.89).
Oxon Under 21 men went down 3-2 with the match being decided in the last leg. Ollie Highton and Tim Gore struck for Oxon.
