OXFORDSHIRE'S top athletes have taken part in their final events ahead of this weekend's British Athletics Championships.
Olympic hopefuls from across the country will compete in Manchester from Friday to Sunday as they seek to claim the final spots at next month's Tokyo Games.
Several Oxford City AC members were in action at the South of England Athletic Association senior and under 23 championships in Bedford.
Nathan Douglas, who this weekend will be aiming to reach his third Olympics, warmed-up with third place in the triple jump, achieving a distance of 15.85m.
The 38-year-old is in action on Sunday afternoon in Manchester as he bids to reach the 17.14m qualification standard.
Elsewhere, Alice Hopkins breezed to victory in the 100m hurdles, crossing the line in 14.12secs.
The 22-year-old almost had extra reason to cheer in the long jump, but her distance of 6.26m was one centimetre less than Blackheath & Bromley Harriers member Jahisha Thomas.
Kathryn Woodcock threw a season's best 49.02m in the discus to take third, while Zoe Pollock was a winner in the Under 23 400m hurdles.
The age-group event acted as the selection trials for the European Under 23 Championships and the European Under 20 Championships, which will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, next month.
Pollock's time of 57.72secs saw her win comfortably, although it was just outside the qualifying standard.
