Eddie Pepperell collected prize money of nearly €10,000 after coming joint 45th in the Spanish Open at Valderrama yesterday.
The Frilford Heath ace, who for a long time on Friday, looked like missing the halfway cut, finished on 16-over-par 300 for the four rounds.
He followed scores of 77, 74 and 73, with a final round 76 on a testing course on not a single player finished under par.
The winner was England’s Andrew Johnston, who recorded his maiden success on the European PGA Tour with a one-over-par total of 285 after a final round of 70.
