OXFORD United have bolstered their squad after finalising deals for Asa Hall and Tom Newey.
Hall, 26, has joined on a six-month loan from Shrewsbury Town, while Newey has signed an initial one-year contract after being released by Scunthorpe United at the end of last season.
It marks a return for Hall, a versatile midfielder, who spent two years with the U's before turning down a new contract to join Shrewsbury 14 months ago.
Newey, 30, will bring plenty of experience at left back and joins after making 49 appearances for Scunthorpe last season.
U's boss Chris Wilder said: "Tom adds balance on the left side of defence and is a very good organiser as well as a good player.
"Asa showed us towards the end of his first spell here what a good player he can be at this level.
"He scores his fair share of goals, works hard for the team and can play all across the midfield.
"If he can perform as consistently over the next six months as he did at the end of his first spell here then he will certainly add to the squad."
