JACK Antoniou hopes to compete at next year’s Commonwealth Games after becoming the youngest player to represent Cyprus at sevens.
The teenager, from Oxford, made his debut for Cyprus in Dubai last December and most recently featured at the European Sevens Cup in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Antoniou, who plays club rugby for Henley Hawks, helped Cyprus reached the plate final where they lost to Denmark.
The d’Overbroecks College, Oxford pupil has also represented Oxfordshire at athletics and water polo.
Antoniou is hoping his exploits will be enough to get a call to represent his country Glasgow next year.
