London Irish 47, London Welsh 28
LONDON Welsh slipped to a heavy defeat at the Madejski Stadium in the Aviva Premiership today.
Welsh, who were relegated last week, led 15-7 in the first half and only trailed 26-21 on the hour mark.
But Irish, who ran in seven tries, were ultimately well worth their victory against tiring opponents.
Seb Stegmann, Nick Scott and Greg Bateman went over for Welsh, while Gordon Ross kicked three penalties and two conversions.
Guy Armitage (2), Halani Aulika (2), Chris Hala'ufia, Sailosi Tagicakibau and Matt Garvey crossed for Irish, with Ian Humphreys converting six.
