A BOAT caught fire by Osney Mill Marina tonight.
Fire crews are attending the scene, just opposite The Punter pub on East Street.
Smoke was seen surrounding the green boat, which had an alarm sounding on it.
It is understood the fire took hold just after 5.20pm tonight.
Rodger Johnson was in The Punter when the alarm was raised.
He said: "There was an alarm beeping for a while but it only went up in flames about 15 minutes ago.
"There wasn't anyone on it. The lights were all off. Fire crews have come and smashed the window to put the fire out.
"There was a lot of smoke, but not masses of flames."
Thames Valley Police said the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
