Pictures reveal that a car was ablaze on the A40 near Cassington this weekend.
Images sent in to the Oxford Mail show a car on fire on the eastbound carriageway on Saturday (October 5).
Police and emergency services had closed the road but details about the incident are currently unknown.

Flames appear to be emanating from inside the vehicle and dark black smoke can be seen billowing above the vehicle.
It is unknown if anyone was injured in the incident.
Thames Valley Police have been asked for a comment. However, it is the force's protocol not to comment on road traffic incidents.
