Mark Jones powered to victory in the Beeline Cycles Oxonian Summer Time Trial League meeting at Witney.
Jones clocked 20mins 34secs for the A40 ten-mile route as 37 riders took part in the Oxford City RC-hosted event.
A south westerly wind hindered the riders to the turn, although heavy traffic coming back may have helped some of them.
The wind didn’t seem to hamper Drag2Zero rider Jones, who beat Mid Oxon’s, Eammon Deeley (21.19) into second place.
Oxford City’s Rob West came in three seconds behind Deeley.
The three fastest ladies were all Oxonian riders, with Jem Line taking the honours in 26.38.
She was just over a minute ahead of Wendy Gundry, who crossed the line in 27.40, while Ingrid Anson stopped the clock in 29.29.
