We're all going downhill fast

Abandon ship, man the lifeboats, HMS Great Britain is slowly sinking beneath the waves.

Britain used to run the world, but now it couldn't run a booze-up in a brewery. Our so-called Government is now omnipotent and pays only lip service to the electorate, as this country is now run by unelected beauracrats in France and Germany.

The sensible laws that were used for centuries to maintain order are now defunct as they have been overridden by our new masters at the EU and new ones, such as not being allowed to sell bent bananas, implemented.

We now have a record 143,000 police officers in England and Wales but, due to meddlesome foreigners with their silly forms to be filled in with targets and data collection, there is only one policeman in 58 actually out on patrol at any given time.

Most councils ride roughshod over the electorate, whose views they ignore, and waste vast sums of taxpayers' money on frivolous schemes, like the unwanted and, in many cases, useless traffic calming measures, while reducing other services, including rubbish collections, all on the orders of other nationalities, who have the power to fine us for non-compliance.

We no longer have controls over our own borders and are now compelled to allow millions of unwanted foreigners to inundate our schools and health services and deprive British natives of jobs.

Thanks to the ill thought out Human Rights Act, we are forced to support anti-British troublemakers instead of deporting them.

The British people are now the most spied upon anywhere on the globe, with the most CCTVs per capita in the world.

The Government controls everyone and everything they do.

Big Brother adverts are now on TV warning us all that we are all on the computer and woe betide if you forget to tax your car or fail to renew your TV licence on time because they are out to get you with punitive fines, instead of sending a reminder as they did in the old days.

New 360-degree speed cameras that photograph the front and the back of your car as it passes, to identify the driver, are now being installed, while foreigners are allowed to wear veils at all times, thereby making identification of these wrongdoers impossible.

There are now towns in the north of the country where the native born English are in the minority, with the local councils run by peoples from distant shores.

Beware of saying or writing anything detrimental about them, though, or you will be labelled a racist - and don't even think about criticising the Government as this may lead to arrest.

Will the last person leaving Britain please turn off the lights. Thank you.

Anchors pathetic, simple-minded letters keep appearing, while others highly critical of New Labour don't get a look in.

The reason why is because he's an Oxford Mail 'Ghost', and the NUJ are all commies to a man, or woman.

What difference does it make, the Burrooo pays me anyway!

Gash, bonny son, great to know you still think of me. You see, I received Jesus some time back, and having undergone TD, instead of DT, I'm now working among the heathen, both home grown and immigrant (no racism here), from my office in Paisley as a Church of Scotland missionary (training included a course in English laguage, something you might like to consider).

Gash, your brain is scrambled regarding mt leaving. It was two general elections ago, when I left so suddenly. But when the Lord calls one, one has to obey. That last was a wee crib (woops! slipped into the vernacular) from St Margaret's Sermon on the Mound.

I rather felt your confused ('pathetic') post slightly reminiscent of a Scot living in some unhistorical southern wasteland like Dicot - and they don't come much more unhistorical. Scots built all over the world - even a few sinful public houses in old Glasgie Toon (blow it! the old vernacular again); so, perhaps, Didcot will receive its fair share of completely necessary Nu-Labour homes, on a building site near Mr Anchors.

My love to all my dear friends and family in Govan. We'll be reunited yet under that wonderful son of the manse, Gordon. And remember, it's not the White Light you need, but the Right Light. God bless you all.

With love in Christ,
Rab the ex-Venereal.

Rab,

Helloooo, glad I caught up with you. There is just a wee discrepency in the order placed for Communion Wine.

The normal order is 4 bottles a month. The present order is for 40 cases a month?

Nothing to do with you is it? Must be an accounting error perhaps.

Please cotact me and confirm the wagon is still under you.

All the best,

Rev I M Jolly.

As the wagon that passeth through Giro Valley, slight not my soul with outrageous slings and arrows, imposter Jolly. for it hath been a mighty struggle against Satan to emerge a doughty fighter for the Lord Jesus.

Unlike Blair Atholl and his serpent wife, I'll not turn to the great Satan Rome. Nor as the Sassenach Archbishop of Cant attend the Head Choppers' Ball; nor extend the hand of kindness to a gang of blood-crazed Musselmen. I stand firm in the faith of Luther and the Reformers.

And mine lips are less 'minged' than when in the Devil's nest that is Govan; yea!nor my mouth as contaminated. And as Bob Hope said to Roy Rodgers in the movie, Son of Paleface, "Lips that touch alcohol shall never touch mine." Thus making the passing of the chalice during Holy Communion a tricky job. Remember Reverend Jolly, or whosoever thou art, we 'Protties' don't buy into Transubstantiation . In fact some, well most, of our perishioners have never heard of it. It was, of course, declared blasphemy in Glasgow centuries ago, because of the sight of so much blood on the streets of a Saturday night.

Finally, if any of you are up Paisley way, pick up some Pari buns and say, get to the manse and do it the Protestant way! You know it makes sense.

Rab.

What an excellent letter Mr. Anchors, I agree with everything you said and am happy to put my name to this. There is nothing racist about your opinions, I have no hatred towards any particular nationality but feel exactly the same. All these critics need to open their eyes and see what is going on around them. Our Britishness is lost now, thanks to these "do-gooders" and the "Human Rights" malarkey, what happened to good old common sense? And do not get me started on these EVIL Muslim Clerics preaching their BULL and promoting terrorism, I am sure if the people who keep such terrorists in this country had lost a relative in the London Bombings, their opinions about "protecting their Human Rights" would be different.

Doesn't it just show what a difference there is between the humour of us Scots, and that of the Sassenachs? Come on Scots Nats, the sooner we're awah this bunch o' miseries the betta!

I'd hazard a guess that Bob Howse's remark "come back (W)anchors all is for govan," represents the acme of Didcotian humour, and probably political understanding.
