The OX5 Run this morning was a great success as more than 700 people turned out to help raise money for sick and injured children.
Witney MP and Conservative leader David Cameron began the race and led the field of racers off from the start line.
Although the Tory leader fell back among the field, but still managed to finish a respectable 289th out of a field of 728 — with a time of just under 45 minutes.
The winner of the race was Kidlington-based fireman Gary Crone, 38, who completed the five mile course around the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, west Oxfordshire, in 28.28 minutes.
Twenty-six-year-old Kerri-Anne Bundock, from Kettering, was the ladies winner, coming home at 36.23 minutes.
