CHRISTMAS is the season of goodwill, but not everyone has been good this year.
And the Oxford Mail is again running our festive Badvent calendar to show you who is on Thames Valley Police’s Christmas list this year.
Every day until Christmas Eve we will be printing the faces of suspected criminals.
It is the third time the Oxford Mail and Thames Valley Police have run the campaign together and tip-offs from readers have helped find and arrest at least 16 suspects to date.
Oxford area commander Supt Chris Sharp last night said: “It ties in with the advent calendars that are a tradition at Christmas.
“And in the countdown to Christmas we want to make sure we gather these people before the end of the year.
“It’s also to encourage them to come forward before Christmas so they are not locked up over the festive period.”
He added: “This is a campaign which we know has worked in the past and we are hopeful it will yield the same results this year.
“We have tried many different ways to track these people down but now we turn to the public to ask for help.
“Although the crimes range in seriousness, we are committed to finding each and every one of them.
“It would bring a great deal of festive cheer to Thames Valley Police to see these people tracked down and brought to justice.”
Robbers, thieves and vandals are among those snared in the past with the help of the seasonal campaign.
And Supt Sharp said he had been impressed by the response to the calendar from Mail readers in the past.
He said: “We were encouraged by the response last year and the previous year and want to emulate that this year.”
