THE Bishop of Oxford has finished a pilgrimage of local places of worship.
The Rt Rev John Pritchard toured 15 churches within the Diocese of Oxford, including six in Oxfordshire.
Published maps of the route have proved so popular that the initial print run of 20,000 was increased to 35,000.
Having started the journey on August 8, Bishop John rounded off the pilgrimage at St Margaret of Antioch in Binsey, Oxford, this week.
He said: “People have always gone on journeys to enrich their spiritual lives. The desire seems deeply ingrained in human nature.
“Closer to home, I believe our churches offer a true oasis in a busy world, and are there for everyone.”
