TWO adults and three children were taken hospital after their people carrier crashed off the northbound carriageway of the A34 and rolled up the embankment this afternoon.
Medics and fire crews were called to the crash, between the Chilton junction and Milton interchange, at shortly before 4:30pm.
Two of the passengers were airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford while the other three were taken in ambulances. One adult had to be cut free from the wreckage.
All of the children - two girls and one boy - are under 12.
The rescue efforts caused long delays on the A34 in both directions.
