Police have confirmed they called in reinforcements during last night’s football match between Oxford United and Luton Town.
Officers are expected to release a statement later today, but a police spokesman said there were a handful of arrests on the night and “minor disorder before the match”.
She added more officers were brought to the stadium as tensions mounted following United’s two early goals.
The game was watched by 10,613 spectators, including 2,331 from Luton.
