The fire service, ambulance service and air ambulance service all attended the incident.
The fire crews were from Bampton Fire Station, Faringdon Fire Station, Kidlington Fire Station and Witney Fire Station.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: "Although the actual scene was a short distance down the river from the bridge, crews were able to access the area using 4x4's, assess the casualties and bring them to safety."
They have advised that people seek boat safety advice before taking a trip out on the river.
