A car fire briefly shut two lanes of the M40 near Lewknor earlier this morning (June 11).
Firefighters from Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire fire and rescue services responded to the fire on the motorway northbound between Stokenchurch and Lewknor before 10am.

Drivers faced delays of around 30 minutes, with two lanes of the M40 shut so the emergency crews could put out the blaze.
The road was back open by 10.30am.
