A man found dead at his workplace was among three suspected of having hanged themselves.

Coroner Nicholas Graham opened inquests this week into the three men’s tragic deaths.

Yarnton man Robert Cox, 43, was reported to have been found by a colleague at Evans Exports Ltd, a car business in Kidlington, on May 20. His death was verified at 6.16pm that same day by a South Central Ambulance Service Paramedic and the cause of his death given as hanging.

A full inquest will be held on August 25.

Anthony Jackson, 37, a bar manager from Kidlington, died at his home in Copthorne Road on May 19. Mr Graham said the cause of his death had been recorded as hanging. A full inquest will be held on September 21.

Photographer Graham Alder, 53, died at his home in Kestrel Crescent, Witney, on May 21. 

Following a post-mortem, his cause of death was given as hanging. A full inquest will be held on August 17.

At their inquests, a coroner will hear evidence to enable him to come to a conclusion about how the men came by their deaths.

Coroners no longer reach ‘verdicts’, instead entering a ‘conclusion’ such as accidental death or suicide.
