In the social media post, the team behind Happy Friday Kitchen stated while it has been ‘so much fun’ running the restaurant for the past four years, it has been ‘incredibly tough’.
The owner wrote: “I am very grateful that I’ve found a buyer in this climate and I can look forward to an easier hospitality-free life!
“Like many others, the early days of the pandemic forced me to take a step back and consider what I really want out of life, and the demands of running a hospitality business on my own just isn’t it anymore.
“I have many amazing memories thanks to HFK, our lovely customers and some wonderful people I’ve met along the way.”
Happy Friday Kitchen will be open as usual until Sunday (May 29).
The restaurant may reopen at weekends in the future but information is expected to be released on that soon.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported my little business,” the owner added.
